More about the interactive Wake Forest NC maps:
They are currently in development mode (GOOGLE beta release). As such there are a couple of problems that still remain but they will soon be worked out. I needed to explain that before telling you about the next map. While the maps are in beta development, they will reside on servers for one of our sites that is about motorcycling, Bikers USA. This is likely to change over to the www.wakeforest.biz server as soon as they are out of the development mode. That being said, to get more of an idea about the maps, view an interactive map of “biker-friendly” businesses in North Raleigh and Wake Forest. There will be interactive maps for various industry segments. For example, if you want a map of all the retail businesses in a particular section of Wake Forest, we can do that. If you want links to your web site, we can do that. If you want an interactive map of all hospitals in the Triangle, we can do that. As you can see, the maps are going to be very useful.
Wake Forest Web Design will be developing interactive maps for Triangle and Wake Forest businesses. Eventually, we plan to have maps for all the doctors in town, all the realtors, all the automotive services, and all the restaurants. The cost to develop the maps is fairly significant and take some time, so we will need to ask for some financial support or perhaps sponsorship. I won’t be able to add businesses for free, because this does take some time. However, if you want to sponsor a particular map, it’s your rules about who gets added and who doesn’t. We will be putting public, non-profits, and civic organizations on these maps. Combined with our ability to grab NASA photos, using their latest software and databases, from different angles, the abilities are fantastic!
