2007 Event Dates: Wednesday, September 12th through Sunday, September 16th.
Every year, bikers from Bainbridge, Georgia welcome bikers from near and far to the annual Bainbridge Bikefest. The bikefest is run by an all-volunteer group of mostly bikers. The Bainbridge Bikefest began in 1998, and raises funds for the Shriners Childrens Hospital, Salvation Army, and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Sponsors include many local businesses as well as national names. Bainbridge, GA is a small city of about 12,000, located between Tallahassee Florida and Dothan Alabama. See the Bainbridge GA map.
Events are held primarily at two places; the industrial park to the west of the city, out near the airport, and Willis Park, downtown. Gates open on Wednesday and Thursday, but Friday and Saturday are the days with the most activities, including top entertainers, a motorcycle parade, biker games, and a bike show. This event is good for the whole family! (In other words, organizers ask you to keep your clothes on in public).
Some bikers like to stay at one of the Bainbridge hotels such as the Super 8 motel, Jameson Inn, or the Days Inn, while others prefer camping or an RV park.
Due to close timing with the extremely popular Trail of Tears Ride from Chatanooga to Alabama, and the Bent Fork Bikefest, these three huge events combine to create a huge regional event, with some bikers trying to go to all. See Motorcycle Rallies.
